Want to rave the French way during French May? Techno and dance disc jockeys are setting out to prove there is more to French music than Charles Aznavour and Edith Piaf sound-alikes at Manhattan-Westworld.
They are presenting La Nuit Strictly Underground on both floors of the New World Harbour View hotel's night club on May 23 at 10 pm.
Described as a 'novel example of the diversity of French culture', the DJ line up includes 'Dimitry from Paris' and 'Chris the French Kiss'.
The pair has apparently just signed a contract with Warner-France for worldwide distribution of its Yellow Production label records.
Also spinning a French techno web will be Charles Shilling, resident at the renowned Le Queen club in Paris who 'travels non-stop around Europe' playing house, electro-funk and groove at clubs.
Several DJs from Hong Kong are supporting the French imports, namely teng boon, Joel Lai and 'acid-jazz pioneer' Suiki Lor.
