After 15 years in the profession, teacher Tsang Yuk-tin is adamant the job involves more than giving a lecture in the classroom.
'You need strong willpower and plenty of patience to deal with problems from all sides,' the commercial subjects panel chairman at Yan Chai Hospital Tung Chi Ying Prevocational School said.
The 43-year-old, who was recently named one of the school's best teachers, is an advocate of mother-tongue teaching and pioneered 'friendlier' teaching methods.
After getting a degree in Business Administration from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Mr Tsang decided business was not his cup of tea.
His first job was at a grammar school.
'I decided to be a teacher instead. Nothing is more meaningful than doing what you really like,' he said.
