I recently had friends to stay from the UK. I was shocked when they told me that the travel agent with whom they booked is not accepting any bookings for Hong Kong after June 30. Apparently, they are afraid their clients 'will not be allowed in' and are waiting to see what happens.
If this attitude is widespread, the hospitality industry and retail trade could suffer greatly.
My friends left armed with various newspaper articles which they intend to show to their travel agent, in an attempt to allay their fears.

Maybe the Hong Kong Tourist Association should contact the British Travel Agents Association to ascertain their opinion and what recommendations, if any, they are making to their members.
