On July 20, 1995, we published an article entitled 'Barrister dismissed for inept defence' in respect of Mr Peter Wah-shing Wan.

 We misquoted the judge in the relevant case who did not specifically use the words 'inept defence', 'incompetent', 'wasting tax dollars' or 'turning proceedings into a farce' when referring to Mr Wan.

 We regret any inconvenience which might have been caused to Mr Wan.
