Fear of missing heaven sent cult girl back to sex slavery
A 19-year-old cult follower, who worked as a prostitute serving 30 men a day, stopped for a month when she became ill, North Kowloon Court heard yesterday.
But she was lured back to the vice trade after being told her chances of becoming a god would be affected unless she continued.
The teenager, who started prostitution in March last year, said she had stopped in May because she felt ill and found it difficult to have sex with men for 18 hours each day.
Instead, she found a job as a sales assistant in a boutique, but the court heard she was approached by the alleged cult leader, Mo Wan-lung, 34, who said her progress in 'performing rituals' would 'badly slow down'.
The young woman said she went back to work as a prostitute and gave every dollar she made to Mo who said it would go to charity.
Yesterday, she said she made at least $400,000 for the cult. 'They said I was almost there. They told me to work harder and do more.
'I was told if I didn't serve enough men, it would become very difficult for me to go up there [to heaven],' said the pregnant woman, who is now reunited with her boyfriend.
