Qualifications from overseas professional associations will continue to be recognised after the handover, a professor said. David Lam Hau-yan is assistant professor of Business Studies at the University of Hong Kong's School of Professional and Continuing Education (SPACE). He stated his confidence in the SAR Government's acceptance of overseas professional qualifications at a graduation ceremony for the Institute of Administrative Management (IAM), a British organisation. 'There are now nearly 2,500 people studying for IAM qualifications at the SPACE, and 2,400 students have enrolled in our courses this year. The drop- out rate, so far, is relatively low. 'It shows our students have much confidence in their qualifications and our courses,' Professor Lam said.
