Cecilia Chu has been promoted to deputy general manager of Golden Power International Holdings. She is the executive director and mainly responsible for the overall management, marketing strategy and production plan for the group's battery and silicone rubber business. Ms Chu is also director and general manager of Golden Power Industries and Golite International. Pirelli Cables has appointed Gary Wang as director of its Far East office. Based in Hong Kong, he will be responsible for the strategic business development, marketing and sale of the company's products in the region. Mr Wang was transferred to Hong Kong from the US. He was previously director and general manager of a division of Pirelli Cable Corporation (US). Loewe Hong Kong has named Frederic Morelle general manager in charge of Asia operations. Mr Morelle joined Loewe from Parfums Christian Dior. Ameron (Hong Kong) has named Maria Yim-hung deputy sales manager with responsibilities for the China market. Ms Yim joined Ameron last November after having been employed by one of Hong Kong's largest specialist concrete repair contractors as marketing manager. She will be responsible for promoting the complete range of Ameron corrosion protective coatings for steel and concrete structures and for marine applications to government authorities in China. Commercial Radio has named Kam Kwok-leung chief operating officer and appointed its managing director, Winnie Yu, director and chief executive. Ms Yu and Mr Kam will work together on the management of the station with Ms Yu concentrating on long-term strategic development and Mr Kam focusing on day- to-day operations. Terremark Inc, a United States property developer, has named Kathy Butler managing director, Asia, based in Hong Kong. Ms Butler headed a number of successful real estate ventures in Australia. In 1991, she relocated to Arizona to establish a property company serving international clients. Catriona Rogers joins the company as director of marketing. Ms Rogers has been involved in property in Asia and Europe for over 20 years. For many years a senior consultant with an international property company, she advised Hong Kong and Asian clients on global property investments. Picture Tel, a leading video-conferencing company, has appointed Heidi Lim as marketing communications manager with responsibility for the company's marketing communications in Asia. Prior to joining Picture Tel, Ms Lim was in charge of marketing communications for Commercial Software Services.
