A FORMER United States Immigration Service officer based in Hongkong was charged with soliciting cash in return for helping people secure work permits. William Yeung Chung-wai, 40, who is alleged to have asked for US$13,000 (about HK$100,460) and accepted US$6,000 from people between May and September last year, will appear at Eastern Court today.
