Halla wins order from Dutch

Halla Heavy Industries of Korea says it has won a US$213 million contract to build six chemicals carriers for shipping company Broon of the Netherlands.

Halla said it had won new orders valued at US$663 million for 18 ships so far this year and was likely to meet its $1.3 billion sales target.

The ships will be delivered in early 1999.
