85 to exhibit at expo
HONGKONG's top freight and containerisation event this year will take place between March 2 and 4 at the Hongkong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
More than 85 companies will take part in the joint World Freight '93 and International Containerisation and Intermodal Expo.
The exhibitions will be supported by the third International Air Cargo and Express conference, co-sponsored by the South China Morning Post, and the second Containerisation and Intermodal Conference.
Rotterdam's representative in Hongkong Mr P.J. Bruls said Rotterdam, one of the exhibitors, would provide details of what the city and port has to offer as an important centre in Europe for trade, transport, distribution, investment and pleasure.
The port of Hamburg, which is also participating as an exhibitor, will introduce details of its electronic data interchange system - Dakosy, the Eurokai group's businesses such as container handling, inter-modal transportation, cargo-modal distribution and consolidation, and the operations of the port's leading business Hamburger Hafen und Lagerhaus.
Emirates, the international airline of the United Arab Emirates, will promote its network, service standard, expansion plans and its new B777 aircraft at the exhibition.
