All change to coin phones

I REFER to the letter regarding public payphones (South China Morning Post, February 16).

Last December, upon notification from the Hongkong Government on the introduction of new coins, we immediately began to redesign our payphones in order to accept them.

The replacement of the software and hardware in individual payphones will begin in early March.

We are targeting the high traffic areas first, and anticipate the whole process to be completed by July of this year.
