I visited Hong Kong for the first time in May and you truly have a first-class city deserving of its reputation.

However, I was sorely disappointed by the fourth-class status of the zoo in Central.
Cages were outmoded and looked like they came from the 1940s and 50s.
Considering the sheer wealth displayed in cars, expensive homes and luxurious restaurants, I wondered why a first-class zoo had not been built to match the city.
