No joy in pop songs of today
WHENEVER I turn on the radio and listen to pop songs, I find the lyrics to be immoral.
Though lyrics writers may defend themselves by saying that how the public chooses to interpret them is a personal thing, I think that's only an excuse, as such songs spread the idea of sexual abuse.
Sex is a basic human desire which Freud regarded as the base of all human activities. However, I don't think it is the target or the origin of love.
Producers of pop songs may believe that even if their songs mention sex, listeners are capable of distinguishing between right and wrong, but they are just as responsible for any harm such songs do.
Most pop music fans are youngsters, and we can't assume that all of them are mature enough to possess sound judgement.
