CAMBODIA'S leaders have reaffirmed their country's support of a one-China policy.
First Prime Minister Prince Norodom Ranariddh and Second Prime Minister Hun Sen gave their backing in separate meetings with new Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia, Yan Tingai.
Prince Ranariddh said Cambodia only recognised one China. The Taiwan issue was China's internal affair and his country would not establish any official relations with the island.
Mr Hun Sen said both Taiwan and Tibet were inalienable parts of China.
He described Hong Kong's handover as a great event, not only of significance to China but all developing countries.
Hong Kong would remain prosperous and stable after its return to China and would make active contributions to Asia's economy, he predicted.
