Canto-pop stars took part in a carnival to promote healthy lifestyles for Hong Kong people. The event, held at Tai Po Hospital, kicked off a three-month project known as Life- long Journey in Health. Aaron Kwok, Andy Hui, Priscilla Chan, Nicolas Tse, Daniel Chan, Leo Koo, Karen Tong, Jordan Chan, Cass Phang, Gigi Leung and the group Zen all turned up to support the project. The carnival featured a health competition involving members of the 18 district boards, new arrivals and the disabled. There were games booths, health exhibitions, seminars and demonstrations, as well as performances by the singers. Kwok and friends acted as 'health ambassadors', giving hints on what comprises a good lifestyle. The carnival was organised by the Home Affairs Department, Hospital Authority, Department of Health, community health-care organisations, and RTHK Radio 1. Guests at the opening ceremony included Chief Secretary Anson Chan Fang On-sang, Director of Home Affairs Shelley Lau Lee Lai-kuen and Chief Executive of the Hospital Authority Dr Yeoh Eng-kiong. Director of Health Margaret Chan Fung Fu-chun and Chief Director of Radio 1 Tai Kin-man also were present. Mr Tai said: 'To keep promoting positive lifestyles is one of our objectives. 'This carnival is a part of the project and aims to arouse public concern about health and strengthen the importance of a positive, healthy lifestyle.' Activities at the carnival included blood-pressure tests.
