SCMP Reporter

A report headed 'Rhine defends results' appeared in Business Post on June 11 which stated that the auditors of Rhine Holdings Limited did not 'approve' Rhine's results for the year ended 31 December 1996 and disagreed with Rhine preparing those results on a going-concern basis.

 We recognise that these statements were without foundation and acknowledge that the auditors concerned delivered an unqualified audit opinion to Rhine.
