Detectives were last night studying security camera footage for clues after parts of a woman's body were found in a Macau hotel's sewerage.
The discovery was made by municipal council drainage workers just before noon yesterday near the Hotel Presidente in the enclave's Outer Harbour district.
Workers clearing pipes linked directly to the hotel found three nail-varnished fingers, a breast plus 'intestines and other organs'.
Judiciary police officers were called in and supervised the workers as they continued to clear the drains.
Remote-controlled cameras were used to sift through the sewage but, by last night, no further body parts had been found.
Officers seized several hotel security video tapes and searched a guest room on the seventh floor.
