Farmers to raise investment

China's farmers will pour more money into production this year, including investment in fixed assets and materials used for agricultural production.

The Business Times yesterday said the average investment in production by individual farmers would reach 830.8 yuan this year, up 11.1 per cent from last year. Investment in large tractors would increase 10.7 per cent from a year ago while spending on small tractors would rise 9.3 per cent, the newspaper said.
