Muir set to join exodus to Valley
Sing Tao forward Ian Muir is poised to join Happy Valley next season after reaching an agreement with Valley boss Lam Tai-fai.
Muir, who returned home to England for a holiday last night, will join his Sing Tao teammates Chan Chi-keung, Lo Kai-wah and Lee Wai-man, who have all signed personal contracts with Lam at Valley.
In his nine years at Tranmere Rovers, the 34-year-old Muir became the club's record marksman, with 134 goals between 1985 and 1994. He also had a spell at Queens Park Rangers.
He scored nine goals for the Tigers this season playing the majority of the time in the midfield.
Muir is the new Valley management's first foreign signing, but they are looking for other top-quality players in England.
Meanwhile, English defender Paul Masefield and Dutchman Marlon van der Sander have been retained by Sing Tao.
