HONGKONG Football Club full-back Justin Weston was last night named rugby union Player of the Year.

The Development Player of the Year award went to Cheung Pak-hee.

Weston, 27, has been rock solid in the full-back position throughout the season and is a classy runner when attacking. He played a crucial role in Club's successful First Division league title campaign.

However, he was unable to help Club to a clean sweep of domestic titles as they relinquished their Bell's Knockout Cup title to Kowloon at Mongkok Stadium last night.

Kowloon hung on grimly to beat Club 22-21 in a thrilling finale to the 15s season.

Their heroes were Charles Riding, who kicked five penalties, and Phil Campbell, who scored the decisive try as Kowloon became only the second team to beat Club this season.
