Background: I was born in Hong Kong, my parents were born in China. They arrived here when their own parents moved from Zhongshan in the 1960s because they believed Hong Kong had a stronger economy, offering them more chances to earn money and improve their quality of life.

What does the handover mean to you? Hong Kong is a part of China and the handover is simply a matter of course. I have confidence in China's governance since things are improving on the mainland. And economically, Hong Kong has a good future. I really hope Hong Kong maintains its stability after the handover and that there is no autocratic rule because Hong Kong people need democracy.
