Attempt to control dogs

Dogs will be classified as fighting, dangerous and potentially dangerous under a bill passed to keep them under control.

Rules will be drafted on dangerous dogs to be kept under specific control under the Dogs and Cats (Amendment) Bill 1996.

The administration also agreed to consult the public before deciding whether to impose tighter measures on the keeping of potentially dangerous dogs weighing more than 20 kilograms.
