Jacket that stood the test of time

TIMES are changing, even if Mike Lovatt's jacket hasn't.

Godown owner Bill Nash combed his picture library to dig out the charming snap (below) of Mike and his wife, Jill, at the opening of the original hostelry in Central a quarter of a century ago.

Twenty-five years on and Mike still has not been persuaded to remove the ageing garment from his person, as the picture (left) taken at the Godown's 25th anniversary at its Admiralty location shows.

It is hoped he has changed his socks in the intervening period.
