SEVERAL roads in Wan Chai will be closed from tonight to prepare for handover security, the Transport Department warned yesterday.

 Meanwhile in Central, Wo On Lane, sections of D'Aguilar Street, Wellington Street and Wyndham Street may be closed in phases between 8 pm today and 3 am tomorrow. MTR services are expected to be stepped up from 9 am to 3 pm and Peak tram services will be extended to 1 am.

 More ferries will run between Central and Tsim Sha Tsui from 8 am to 8 pm, and all local and cross-harbour tunnel bus routes will be strengthened.
