King George V student Roy Lamsam's competent captaincy earlier this year has earned him another call-up - he will lead the Hong Kong under-19 squad on a tour of Sri Lanka next month.
The Hong Kong Cricket Association are trying to give the 14-strong squad some match practice before they embark on their World Youth Cup qualifying tournament next year.
Roy, the younger brother of Hong Kong swimming champion Robyn, captained Hong Kong in the junior Tuanku Ja'afar tournament and will lead a strong side when the region begins its campaign for the World Cup in South Africa next January.
Hong Kong are scheduled to play five games in their eight day tour of Sri Lanka beginning on July 17 - three in the provinces and two in the country's capital, Colombo.
Hong Kong Cricket Association youth coach Lal Jayasinghe said the Sri Lankan tour would give the youngsters valuable experience, and he expects top quality schoolboy opposition in Sri Lanka.
