Fans and tourists rushed to the stores for updates on Versace's killing and to buy clothes in tribute.
'Some just came in and snapped a shot for remembrance. It's really moving when familiar customers come in and talk to us,' said Angela Chok Yen-yen, general manager (boutique operations) of Versace.
Shop managers held a meeting early yesterday and decided on the window display instead of closing the stores as in Europe.
'We thought locals and tourists would love to admire his designs and we did not want to disappoint them,' Ms Chok said.
