Steel market fall continues

The mainland's steel market is depressed amid growing exports and shrinking imports, with price falls in the first half of this year compounding a poor performance last year, the Shenzhen-based Securities Times says. Steel prices in June fell an average 3.9 per cent compared with levels at the beginning of the year, and 7.2 per cent against the year-ago period.
