Revolting

I am writing to express my disgust at the present situation in Stanley Bay with raw sewage seeping into the sea.

As a long-term resident in this area I have watched the seas turn from blue to murky brown over the last few years. Heavy rainfall is being blamed, but where does this sewage go in 'normal' conditions and how can the pipes be so sub-standard as to 'break' in wet weather? Stanley is a great tourist attraction, and is popular with local windsurfers. How on earth can the Government allow such a revolting situation to prevail? Instead of reaping billions in land sales for yet more 'luxury' homes in the area, perhaps it should first concentrate on providing an adequate sewage system for existing households.
