Driver Chang Wing-kit, 20, was arrested for reckless driving causing death in the first crash. He was released on $10,000 bail.

Chang lost control of his Subaru car in the Tsuen Wan-bound lane of West Kowloon Expressway, near Tai Tung Sun Chuen, Tai Kok Tsui, at about 12.30 am.

Two rear-seat passengers Ip Ka-man, 21, and Lau Siu-hong, 21, were killed and front-seat passenger, Lam Kwok-leung, 20, was thrown out of the vehicle.

Last night, Chang, who was saved by the air bag, and Mr Lam were in stable condition in hospital.
