Finance Ministry share swap

The Finance Ministry has transferred shares it held in three big securities companies to the State Council 'to promote the healthy development' of the mainland's securities industry, the Shanghai Securities News says. The 5 per cent stake, or 50 million shares, the Finance Ministry held in China Guotai Securities Co and China Southern Securities will go to the Overseas Chinese Town Economic Development Corp.
