It is being promoted as a 'performance exchange' and conference, presented by the Hong Kong Arts Centre, and runs until August 31.

Butterfly Dream by the local Theatre Fanatico company was performed at McAulay Studio at the weekend as part of the festival.

The Shanghai Theatre Academy will perform Putting on the Stage Costume at the same venue next Sunday and Monday, while REM by Rukaden can be seen on August 29 and August 30 at the Hong Kong Arts Centre's Shouson Theatre.

The Little Asia festival will become a major annual event involving collaboration between the Hong Kong Arts Centre and the Asian Little Theatre Network, with input from theatre companies based in numerous Asian cities.
