HONGKONG will be in for a colourful flag-waving procession as the territory throws its weight behind Beijing's bid for the 2000 Olympic Games.

 A drive to support Beijing's Olympic bid was launched yesterday with show-business celebrities and taxi drivers being the first to fly the flags. The flags will be distributed free at petrol stations today. Popular singer Prudence Liew joins in the campaign by showing off a ''Beijing 2000'' flag yesterday.
