Loh lets slip the naked truth
Wondering what all those sacked pro-democracy legislators are doing with their free time? One is taking her clothes off.
This week's HK Magazine contains a tip from Christine Loh Kung-wai on where to go for nude bathing in the New Territories.
Of her chosen spot, she says: 'There's very clear water and sandy beaches in protected bays with clearwater streams for bathing naked in. It's a very sexy thing to do in the moonlight.' Unfortunately for those who want to join in the fun, her chosen spot is Double Haven archipelago, a three-hour trip by private boat from Sai Kung in the northeastern waters of the New Territories.
Unless you have a boat of your own, probably the only way to go there is to hitch a lift with the junkloads of Apple Daily, Eastweek and Next magazine photographers who will no doubt have the whole coastline staked out by now.
Keeping his clothes firmly on is Kerry McGlynn, last seen embracing Chris Patten on the harbour quayside in the early hours of July 1. The former Government House spin doctor resurfaced this week to take up a post in the SAR Government, as deputy director for information services.
Mr McGlynn has been given a new contract to oversee Hong Kong's international publicity activities, a post he also held from 1991-1993. Some might see this as incongruous, given the many months he spent denouncing key SAR policies during his previous incarnation at Government House.
But Mr McGlynn doesn't envisage any difficulties. 'After a wonderful six-week break, it's great to be back in my old job,' he said yesterday.
