For three weeks now TVB Pearl has advertised the film Speed.

Having not seen this film and having heard that it is very good, I was looking forward to seeing it.

However, for two weeks there was no indication of when it was to be shown. As a consequence, I hired the video of the film from my local video outlet and thoroughly enjoyed watching it.

I can but wonder whether TVB Pearl has contravened some basic principle of advertising by advertising an event much too early and much too frequently. May I also ask, through these columns, how many more times is TVB Pearl is going to repeat Hall of Fame and The Incredible Story of . . . which, to say the least, are very wearing? R. J.
