Windows menu and an age-old dilemma

First of all, many thanks to two readers, Scott Richardson-Brown and Keith Moody, who had the solution to last week's Macintosh problem.

As you may recall, a Mac 6200 owner was finding his Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Office programs crashing whenever he tried to exit them.

Both Keith and Scott said the problem was an extension called 'Microsoft Office Manager'. Mr Moody said that after turning off this 'nightmare' extension, his previously crash-prone Mac 9500 now runs perfectly.

Do you know if it's possible to change the way Windows 95 displays Start Menu pull-out menus? I have one 'games' menu which is quite full and has 40 or so items on it.

Unfortunately, the first column lists 39 and the second column lists just one. It looks a bit stupid.

Is there any way of, say, getting Windows to display two shorter columns with 20 items on each? ALEXI BHANJA Hong Kong Raise your screen display to at least 800 x 600, or preferably 1024 x 768 and set the Start menu to display small icons.
