Speedpost will extend its services to Estonia and Romania from today, according to a Hong Kong Post Office spokesman. He said this would bring the number of countries served by Speedpost to 82. Speedpost items for the first 250 grams to Estonia and Romania will cost $150 and $160 respectively. The first 500 grams to Estonia and Romania will cost $180 and $200 respectively, while each additional 500 grams to Estonia will cost $55 and to Romania will cost $50. The kilopak will cost $225 to Estonia and $240 to Romania. Speedpost items, which are accepted at 49 post offices covering leading business and industrial districts, is a fast and reliable service for sending documents, samples and merchandise. The spokesman said: 'Customers who regularly use Hongkong Post's Speedpost service may apply to open an account for pick-up service.' Customs documentation was simple, even for samples and merchandise, the spokesman said, adding that Speedpost served more than 1,500 cities on the mainland, the widest courier service network in the country. 'We offer next day delivery to Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Xiamen and Shantou, as well as next morning delivery to Guangzhou and Shenzhen,' the spokesman said. The SpeedpostPak offers a bulk economy delivery discount and enables customers to save hundreds of dollars on every delivery. The spokesman said the five-kilogram SpeedpostPak was the most cost-effective service on the market.
