Swedish pop group Freebee joined an impressive array of talent amassed to ensure FM Select's sixth birthday went off with a bang. Canto-pop stars and local bands Dry and Tequila dominated the bill at Queen Elizabeth Stadium where thousands turned out to enjoy the music and party atmosphere. Fans, many brandishing luminous sticks, waved banners and presented their idols with flowers. The concert was divided into programmes titled Love and Concern, The Stage of Praise, The World of Fantasy, The World of Entertainment, The World of Friendship, and The World of the Dragon. These showcased the various roles played by FM Select and included a magic show, a short play, a kung fu demonstration, and a 'Spice Girls appearance' delivered by DJs in drag who performed the hit Wanna Be. Local singers taking the stage included Aaron Kwok, Sammi Cheng, Andy Hui, Amanda Lee, Hacken Lee, Cass Phang, Ekin Cheng, Kelly Chen, Julian Cheung, Leo Koo, Daniel Chan and Eric Suen. The stars belted out their hits, performed dance routines, and bestowed their blessings on FM Select, Hong Kong's only bilingual radio station. The climax was the performance by heart-throb Aaron Kwok who sent young girls into a frenzy with his love ballads and renowned dance skills.
