Superstar basketball giant and rapper Shaquille O'Neal made a Hong Kong pit-stop to display his off-court talents at Planet Hollywood - and brought the house down.

O'Neal, the 2.16-metre American basketball hero, who plays for the LA Lakers, thundered out numbers from his third album, You Can't Stop The Reign.

'Shaq', as he's known, also faced huge queues of fans waiting for a chance to get their NBA idol's signature.

O'Neal, 25, was in Hong Kong as part of a two-week tour of 10 countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

The trip would take him away from his native California for two weeks, for promotional work during the game's off-season.
