An unemployed man helped a friend rob his father-in-law because he held a grudge against him after the breakdown of his marriage, a court heard yesterday.
Cheung Fai-wing, 27, took the robber to his father-in-law's Yuen Long home, told him his routine and then waited nearby, the District Court was told.
Cheung admitted a charge of aiding, abetting, counselling and procuring robbery and another of handling stolen goods.
Prosecutor Newman Wong said Hung Yun-wah, 44 - the father of Hung Fung-king, the defendant's estranged wife - was the target of the crime.
When Mr Hung tried to leave his home on November 13 last year, he was pushed back inside by Lau Kin-wah. Lau held Mr Hung at knifepoint and tied him up before ransacking the place.
Mr Wong said Lau, who is still at large, took goods, $1,400 in cash and credit cards.
