Cricket's equivalent of the Rugby Sevens, the Hong Kong International Sixes, takes place at the Hong Kong Stadium on September 27 and 28.
Teams from Australia, Bangladesh, England, Hong Kong, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka and the West Indies compete for a purse of $660,000, making it the richest two-day tournament cricket in the world.
Australia-born Stewart Brew, 32, assumed captaincy of the Hong Kong team in April. He moved here eight years ago and lives with his wife and twin four-year-old daughters in Mid-Levels.
What's on your mind? I am looking forward to the tournament and hope we can click on the day and do something we can remember for the rest of our lives.
How do you rate Hong Kong's chances? We are definitely the underdogs but that means we've got everything to gain and nothing to lose. On paper, the strong teams are from England, Australia and the West Indies, but we'll see.
There's been talk India won't field its best team. Is this a slight on the tournament? No, there are two things which tend to affect the Sixes. One is other fixtures on the international cricketing calendar, particularly one-day games for Asian teams. Also, Asian selectors like to give up-and-coming players the chance to compete which, unfortunately, works against getting the best players here.
