A team of officials from the Port of Hamburg are visiting Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Taipei, Singapore, Jakarta and Bombay this month to promote the port as Europe's leading sea-borne cargo handling centre for Asia. The trip coincides with the release of traffic figures for the first six months of the year which shows a 6.5 per cent increase in bulk turnover to 7.45 million tonnes.
