The ball season is around the corner and many ladies about town are gearing up for an onslaught of invitations through their letter boxes.

Six avid ball-goers are doing just that. But it will not be a trip to the Landmark to exercise their credit cards. Christine Wong, Julia Fung, Peggy Liu, Katherine Cheng, Harriet Tung and Amy Chou have decided to fly to Milan and Paris to do their shopping, and naturally will leave their husbands at home.
The trip is timed to coincide with the release of winter collections in European stores. Needless to say, they will be taking empty suitcases.
