Guangdong Investment, the Hong Kong-listed vehicle of the Guangdong provincial government, said it had completed the planned purchase of 51,000 shares in toll-road company Guangdong Transport Investment (BVI) Co (GTI). Projects held by GTI include Huizhou Section of National Road No 324 (Guangzhou-Shantou Highway), Qinglian Class I Highway Shantou Haiwan Bridge and Humen Bridge. Guangdong Investment said the purchase represented the beginning of an initiative by the company to further expand its infrastructural development in Guangdong.
