Student jailed for sex crimes

A student who protests he is the victim of mistaken identity was yesterday jailed for seven years for carefully planned sex attacks on two young schoolgirls.

So Yiu-fung, 19, insisted he was not responsible for raping a 13-year-old and trying to rape an 11-year-old.

Deputy Judge A. R. Suffiad told So the evidence showed a great deal of planning had gone into the crimes.

'You targeted defenceless and vulnerable young girls, deceiving and frightening them into submission,' he said.

So was found guilty this month by a Court of First Instance jury of rape and attempted rape.

No mitigation could be put forward because So refused to accept the verdict.
