THE Clifford Chance Ladies' team may have brought up the rear in the annual Matilda Hospital Sedan Chair Race, but its impressive Spice Girls impersonation was rewarded with the trophy for the Most Public-Spirited Team. The chair race and bazaar held at the hospital on the Peak were expected to raise $3 million for Hong Kong charities. Hong Kong Police team clocked up its fourth consecutive victory when it won the 3.2-kilometre Course A race in a time of 14 minutes and two seconds. The Athletic Veterans team took the 2.1-kilometre Course B title in nine minutes 31 seconds and the Hong Kong Ladies Road Runners completed the same course in nine minutes 51 seconds to win the event for women.
