Brigitta Bancher, of the Italian Trade Commission's Asian footwear desk, attended Micam and said the latest look steered away from today's clumpy footwear to an elegant sharp-pointed, version.
'This was one of the most interesting shows. For the first time, I saw renaissance-style or baroque shoes, some in velvet, in different shades with flowers or embroidery,' she said.
