Triple Wimbledon champion Boris Becker could be making his final appearance in Asia when he competes in next month's Marlboro Championships at Victoria Park.
The 29-year-old German star's illustrious career is nearing its end, although organisers insist he will still be at the peak of his game for the Hong Kong event, to be held from October 14 to 19.
Becker bade an emotional farewell at this year's Wimbledon after a quarter-final loss to Pete Sampras.
He then skipped this month's US Open following the death of his adviser and close friend, Axel Meyer-Woelden.
The youngest Wimbledon men's champion - at 17 - said the end of his career was near and that he would restrict himself to smaller tournaments, although he would still make himself available for Davis Cup duty.
'There's a possibility that it will be Becker's last appearance in Asia.
