Platinum China launches software product

Platinum China, the exclusive distributor in China for the US-based Platinum Software Corp's Platinum for Windows products, has launched the Chinese version of a set of financial accounting software.

The company's operations director Alsen Hsien said the software was tailored to meet the requirements of the mainland market.

Its functions include decision support with drill-down analysis, currency translation, inter-company accounting and consolidation.

Platinum China has also developed a payroll module to integrate with Chinese Platinum for Windows. The module is bilingual, supporting both English and simplified Chinese characters, and fully automates payroll preparation and all tax reporting.

The company was formed in May by a merger of two value-added resellers of Platinum Software based in Hong Kong and Shanghai.
