Not everyone pays attention to fashion greats. Karl Lagerfeld and Gianni Versace may be worshipped by a certain set but it is refreshing to know that not everyone thinks the world revolves around them.
News reaches us that former-Miss-Hong-Kong-turned-actress Anita Yuen (remember her award-winning performance in C'est La Vie, Mon Cheri ?) was chosen by John Galliano to be an Asian face for his new collection (his own label and not that of Christian Dior). She was duly contacted by his people in Paris.
She apparently didn't know who he was and so rang up her friend, Green Peace owner Sham Kar-wai.
'Who is John Lillyano?' she apparently asked.
'You mean John Galliano. And he is one of the most important designers in the world at the moment.'
