RCL feeder for Xiamen

REGIONAL Container Lines (RCL) of Singapore will launch its first feeder service between Hongkong and the mainland port of Xiamen this month.

A RCL official said the 190-TEU vessel Uwa Bhum, with 14 reefer plugs, was scheduled to arrive in Hongkong from Singapore on March 15.

''We will see how the response is to our service before deciding to go any further,'' she said.

The weekly round voyage service between Hongkong and Xiamen would connect with other shipping lines serving Europe, United States and Asia, she added.
